I am a 9th grader long distance runner on varsity winter track looking to improve my times for spring. I can not change my workouts, but was wondering what i could do to further improve. My times are:
400-65s
800-2:30
1600-5:44
3000- 11:28

Are you trying to improve all your times or a particular distance type? In an 800 meter event you would need a fair amount of aerobic training but for 5k you need to train almost exclusively on aerobic to get maximal benefit.
To optimize your 5k times get a heart rate monitor and train at 160-170 beats a minute, mostly on runs of 2-5 miles during the week. Once a week do speedwork 200s or 400s at near maximum effort. After 3 months of strictly following this regimen your heartrate will be the same for faster 5k times. This is because you will have maximized the training of your aerobic muscle tissues.
Mix in one more speedwork session in exchange for a distance session if you want to focus on lesser distances.How can I improve my running?

Just keep practicing hard. Those times are golden for a freshman, just keep doing what you're doing.
Hey I'm a 7Th grader and i play basket ball as a guard so i have to be fast. my dad used to play soccer for 26 years and he told me that what you can do is go find some stairs or like a high platform, which you can jump on easily. Put your strong foot on the platform and switch them back and forth (jump, switch the foot on the platform, land). It really improved my speed. before i started to do it my mile was 8 minutes, after this it dropped down to 6 minutes.
Well I'm a sophomore and the only thing you can really do as a distance runner is run in the mornings. Sort of like a double session work out. You just want to get in some miles if you want some drastic change. That helps alot. I dropped my times by a ton by doing these. I'm on JV but i was very unathletic and got a lot better here are my old and new times.
400-70/55
800-2:40/2:10
1000-3:30/310
1600-6:36/5:40
3000:??...lol

I'm doing the swim unit for my pe class after spring break but i dont know how to change without showing my body to everyone. If the water looks good..... test good and it has been 5mts since we filled it. If I wait I will have to do it in the spring then it will be 11mts since a change. alright its easy, but you will need spring compressiors.. you lift your car up, take the wheel off, then un bolt the old springs harness on the bottom, should be like a thing to hold the spring down, then compress the spring to make it smaller, witch will let you turn it sideways and pull it out, then you take the compressors off and reverse the steps with your new springs...

DUI arrest and subsequent court is turning into a nightmare?
Ok #1, Do not drink and drive.
That out of the way, here's my case
Arrested of June last year of DUI, 40-6-391.
Court date moved and changed from Sandy Springs city to Fulton County.
Got a new court day. Attorney filed not guilty for me.
Next I have some type of mediation. But I have just received some odd paperwork from the prosecutor.

DUI notice
DUI of drugs
DUI of drugs and alcohol
I am anti drugs and would never take drugs so why are they charging me with drugs? This whole case has turned into a litigation nightmare.
Alcohol is one thing I can live with, but to charge and smear my name with drugs is beyond law and order, this is just plain spiteful.
Has anyone else heard of this. My original charge on the police docket is DUI (1 count) and driving on the wrong side of the road.
How can they add 2 extra charges?DUI arrest and subsequent court is turning into a nightmare?
Not drinking and driving has been a message for everyone for 30 years. If you are just now figuring it because you are now being punished, where were you for the first 29 years the message has been clear to the rest of us? As far as I am concerned, one DUI and you can NEVER drive again. And, you should also be prohibited from EVER buying alcohol so just in case you decide to drive again without a license, you will still be permitted from buying the alcohol. So quit your crying and step up for the punishment - you deserve it.DUI arrest and subsequent court is turning into a nightmare?

Sometimes words can't express the feelings one has for another. On the other hand, that song can go a long way. To achive what your wanting depends on him mostly. Is he able to love you, is he able to give back to you what your willing to give him. Can he feel the heat your putting off as love or does it just burn him. The song is a great start but your own words would mean more. Bring it from your heart, bring it from your love for him, it will mean more. Think of what you would love to feel and do it for him. Everything happens for a reason so keep your head up no matter what.

Sometimes words can't express the feelings one has for another. On the other hand, that song can go a long way. To achive what your wanting depends on him mostly. Is he able to love you, is he able to give back to you what your willing to give him. Can he feel the heat your putting off as love or does it just burn him. The song is a great start but your own words would mean more. Bring it from your heart, bring it from your love for him, it will mean more. Think of what you would love to feel and do it for him. Everything happens for a reason so keep your head up no matter what.

Comformation lists?
here's a list of things i think i'd want in a horse(conformation wise). please let me know if it's too much(wanting the horse to be too perfect) or if i should change anything (take it off or add it).
1. rather have a short neck then long neck.
2.sloping shoulder.
3.long back. (for smoother gate/easier lead changes)
4.well-sprung ribs (shape of the horse's ribs/body)

No you have a good list and there are a lot of horses that would fit all of the things in your list. You know what you are looking for so you don't have to decide later this is very good. How ever I think the shorter backed horses are easyer to ride they have a smaller middle with the longer backed horses the middle is larger and you will usually bounce around. I know this probley dosn't make since but if you want a smoother ride i would get the shorter backed horse. Good luck finding your PERFECT match!!!! What I must to do: drop or abort?

I have been in America for almost 2 years. I am a legal immigrant with my wife and my 3 year-old daughter. I wanted to take courses in a college, even though I have a degree in my country. The 1st (fall 2008) semester was very easy, I took 3 courses and I had good grad in each of them. But circumstances change in this spring semester. I am a full time (4 courses) and some events appear: I changed the job (overnight and hard job); my wife is pregnant...and so on. The height is that I find the courses very boring, yes it's true; questions in the quizzes like how many centimeters are there in one meter. I just can't continue the semester with this way, too much wasting of time in homework. So I stopped everything. I don't take the courses any more. I went to the registration at the college ( BHCC, in Boston), they said to fill a drop-form, and it檚 late to get the refund (I have a financial aid). Any way if I fill the drop-form or I abort courses the results will be in my transcript. In your opinion which is less ravaging, abort the courses doing nothing, or fill this drop-form? And do you think this will affect my future financial aid? I am planning to do an equivalent to my degree that I had in my country, and I will take only the courses which are new for me. Please try to answer sincerely without morality. I am a non-traditional student and I had a hard time in the pass.

well as you probably know, students loans suck to pay back, and if you are in as little as you are right now, then i wouldn't go any further and get into anymore debt. Can't you use your other degree to get a job here, an education is an education no matter where your from. but it won't affect future financial aid. i had to drop the semester and quite school for a little bit due to an illness. but a couple years later i went back to school and did online classes and didn't have any trouble at all with financial aid. hope everything works out for the best!!!brown hair fake myspace

Marlin 60 missfires!!?
Hey,This gun is getting ready to go back in the closest! Or the garbage! Unless U guys can help me,Its miss firing! It was jamming until i changed ammo to copper nosed Winchester High V. now it just miss fires ever few shots! Dammit! I cleaned the dam thing with a tooth brush! Got the dirt out around the chamber and everything changed the firing pin and hammer spring,I was going to change the recoil spring but it looks like all the websites are sold out,The recoil spring could possibly be the problem? But i did a test I held down the bolt and used spent rounds just to see how hard the firing pin was hitting,Well..sometimes it hits harder than others.Don't make no sense dam sense!Same when i`m shooting it,Shoots two or three shots fine,Then it miss fires.Even with rapid fire!But it did miss a bullet a couple times on the return feed,I think that was because of the rapid firing.O yeah!before i forget?I've had a few!LoL Sorry,Anyway! I bought mine for my son, who now, cannot have it for something he did. Anyway, I'm not all that interested in it and haven't taken the time to try and fix it or figure out what kind of ammo it likes.
Because mine is new, I'm not going to try hard. I will call or send it back to Marlin.
I just had a look at the Marlin website. If it's newer than five years, it is under warranty and they will repair it if you ship to them. Don't go foolin' around and make it worse, just send it back to Marlin after you're tried enough different ammo to satisfy yourself that it's the gun.Marlin 60 missfires!!?
My 22 misfires more than all my other guns combined. I think it's just the nature of the cartridge.
Think it was the bulk Remington .22s I had a problem with. 550 pack for $20, but one in ten wouldn't go off. So it could be the ammo.
I had a Marlin 60,it was finicky from day one. It would only fire the Remington golden bullet and after a year,I gave up. After many cleanings,sold at a gun show. The Ruger 10/22 replaced it,now my favorite. At another gun show a Marlin 49dl for sale by the owner, bought out of curiosity,nothing like the 60. It shoots all ammo and meets my specs which is 1'; at 50 yards.You are not the only one to have trouble with the 60,no other makes these pages like it. Some swear by it. P.S. if ammo misfires I try it in another,with the 60 the ammo fires in another the 60 seems to have multiple problems, check for the thumbs on that opinion.

I'd think you were a bit unusual, but I'm sure that upon making your acquaintance I'd accept it as just being part of your quirky (in a good sense) personality. On the other hand, you should consider how people who will never really make your acquaintance will see you. Your bosses, let's say, or their bosses, or the people on other projects you have to work with.
I would expand this out beyond just the misplaced Christmas tree. Many people will form negative impressions of anybody with extensive non-professional trinkets in their offices. Notice that I do not mean ';non-professional'; pejoratively; I mean it descriptively. Unless your profession happens to be a seasonal one involving Christmas trees in the winter and recreational sports in the summer, these are not related to your profession.
So, while it will not be a barrier to those who you work closely with, I would seriously consider what impression you want to make on the people you work with more casually (again, using the term descriptively).
And then consider taking them home and displaying them there.

am running my 94 LWB pajero/shogun with 31-11.50-15 offroad log tires. am planning to raise it to 8-10'; inches to run 38-14.50-15 super swamper tires. I need to know where to get the right lift to do this, and besides it has a front independent suspension (coil sprung) i want to change this to a beam axle type suspension but with similar bolt pattern so i wont need to change my rims. I think the idea of a conspiracy is unimportant as it represents that people are capable of independent thought rather than being led by both government and the media into accepting everything as fact. The government has done many other things, we arranged the Gulf of Tonkin Incident and simply spent billions and only lost 50,000 men and then came home with our tails betweens our legs...a mere 3,000 to start a war to gain or 'earn' billions seems pretty cheap. Since government is monopolized by the wealthy, and the wealthy just happen to be businessmen who have owned or been shareholders in the companies that benefitted most by war. We have been lied to before...i.e. IranGate, the infamous WMDs, etc....so why not this. The picture that the government paints is not so lily-white as you might think...torture of POWs is not new, but of course it was denied. We have assassinated leaders of other countries, supported petty dictators for our own purposes...i.e. Marcos, Chiang Kai Shek, etc. To accept things at face value is being led by the nose. But then people are led by the nose everyday by the media too. I would be skeptical.

I don't think that's an impossibility, either practically or theoretically speaking. If people in the administration TRULY believed this, such actions might at least be defensible, even to people like me who believe the invasion was a dramatic mistake.
For example, look at the case of Pearl Harbor. As more and more documents from the period are released, it is IMHO increasingly likely that a similar scenario was in play then. Certainly many top American officials, including the President, knew that the embargo on Japan would likely lead the Japanese to an act of agression (we were, after all, reading all of their diplomatic and military transmissions, having broken their codes), and that this would at least draw the American people into supporting a war that virtually all of the administration thought vital to long-term American interests. In my opinion they greatly underestimated the capacity of the Japanese to strike and the resulting damage, but they consciously waited for Japan to strike the first blow. Could something similar have happened in 2001?
Even in the perfect 20/20 vision of hindsight, I find it difficult to judge whether such a ';conspiracy'; by Roosevelt, Marshall, King, et al would have been justified or not. Although the war against Japan may or may not have been a necessity of national policy, our involvement in the European war against Hitler was critical to the present shape of the world. Imagine the consequences of a German victory or mutual standoff? Of the destruction of western European democracy in Britain, France, the low countries, etc.? Or, perhaps worst of all, of a Stalin/Soviet-dominated victory over Naziism? We might find ourselves in a very different and very unpleasant world today.
Whether or not FDR really allowed the Japanese attack to proceed, would he have been justified in doing so if he did have advance information? My judgement leans toward ';yes';. Ask yourself the same question as to whether Bush might have been justified in allowing the 9/11 attacks to proceed if he had advance knowledge. It's too soon for history's judgement, but so far I would say the answer is no.

im changing the leaf springs out on my jeep and i was taking off the upper shackle bolt and the metal sleeve from the bushing is rusted to the bolt how can i get it unstuck?

I have had luck heating these bolt sleeves up with a small torch and hitting it to break up the rust. Can you get a small hose up there to soak it with wd-40 or such? Of course, dont spray then torch!I need help on a tough bolt?
can you heat it up with a torch if not get the biggest breaker bar with a impact socket that fits the bolt and just crank on it until it breaks then replace it
Heating it and breaking it is a good way to go or if you can get a sawzall blade in there cut the head off and knock it out.

I have had luck heating these bolt sleeves up with a small torch and hitting it to break up the rust. Can you get a small hose up there to soak it with wd-40 or such? Of course, dont spray then torch!I need help on a tough bolt?
can you heat it up with a torch if not get the biggest breaker bar with a impact socket that fits the bolt and just crank on it until it breaks then replace it
Heating it and breaking it is a good way to go or if you can get a sawzall blade in there cut the head off and knock it out.

The 2 kg object actually moves up a 30 degree incline (thus the sine of 30 is 0.5) so every meter of displacement WHILE the spring is imputing work into the kinetic energy of the object gravity is also imputing negative work (opposite the direction of motion) given by the formula mgh.
My book solution's guide doesn't even mention the mgh work?
The ONLY creative explanation I have is that maybe the spring continues to impute work into the object slightly beyond the x=0 position (unstretched relaxed state of spring) because at x=0 the force from the spring is zero but gravity is pushing ';into the spring'; and the spring will thus be in contact ';slightly long'; than the rest-position of the spring.

I can't tell but it looks like you're over thinking it: mgh energy must also be accounted for but it sounds like your solution manual overlooked this. Also friction must be considered unless it's a frictionless incline. If you can provide some clarity/details I'll see what I get to compare thanks.

454 big block from a 1989 gmc?
I just picked up a 1989 gmc truck yesterday with a 454 big block in it.. i am planning on putting this 454 into my 1970 camaro..2 things i want to know.. one is, i got the truck from a guy that did nothing to it... so how much horsepower is the orginal 454 pushing? and second is i know im going to have to change the front springs and shocks for a big block engine... but what are some other things ill have to do to it? and also when i take the engine out of the truck im going to stip it and go through it... what sould i do to make the engine put a lot of horse power and make it sound and look amazing?454 big block from a 1989 gmc?

Longer connecting rods breed lots of power curve fatness and reliability into the 454. 6.530 length rods make it pull like a 454 and rev like a 350. You can make 500+ streetable HP with a good pair of aftermarket Oval port heads such as Dart oval ports. AFR is the finest conventional head money can buy, but you'll spend near $3K for a pair. No R port heads or you will destroy low RPM power in a 454.
Also, you are not going to make 500+ naturally aspirated HP in that engine with stock compression.
It's time for a good mill on the head surfaces to get the chamber volume around 110CC or less. And you'll need a zero deck clearance on the block in order to make a little more compression without having to put a flame travel killing dome piston into it.
As far as cost per HP, Big BLock Chevy's are the cheapest cost per HP in the business. They're also a more reliable power combo than small blocks because you get bigger power at street able RPM's.454 big block from a 1989 gmc?

you may have to raise it a little but try some spacers....it will take the wheel away from your springs but it's actually the offset of the wheel, it wasn't made for that car....search the net for wheel spacers / adapters.....

Help with a honda GX160 engine please!?
Recently my honda gx160 engine would start first time but did not have any throttle, (just ran at a single speed-even when throttle lever was pulled). However after disassembling the cylinder head to change the valve springs the engine now fails to start at all.
The rockers, valves, valve springs, push rods and carberetta etc all seem to be in working order.

The current plans for the Simpson ride involves a simulator ride similar to the Back to the Future: The Ride. It will use 80 foot screens to give the rider a virtual-reality trip through a cartoon theme park called ';Krusty Land.'; Sideshow Bob will be a part of the ride though it's not mentioned how.
The ride building will be painted completely blue, with new Simpsons-themed elements added to it, including a giant Krusty the Clown head at the entrance, according to images from the press conference held for the new attraction.
Due to the upcoming nature of the ride this may change before its Spring 2008 planned release.

How can I talk to the management for my townhome rentals?
I had talked with my landlord about moving to a different unit because this one has too much space that I don't need or want and I wanted an end unit. Well a few end units became available for rent last month and one of the persons mentioned that I could get into one in december. So plans were on for me to move then on a cartain date, but then after talking with them a few weeks later they said ';oh no we were mixed up that one is not available for rent now'; the most detail that she gave to me is that it's not available and never was.
At one point later she said that no end units would be available until possibly spring. This change of mind happened the week that there was a random leak in my unit that caused some flooding on the first floor near the bathroom. I had nothing to do with it, and while it as my boyfriend that was there while they were doing repair, he did not find out what was wrong either. Management said it was a pipe leak from the bathroom. It would seem that they do not mind coming in to repair thing here, because there have been multiple issues since I have moved here, one was a major issue where they needed to get into the ceiling of my kitchen becaue there was a leak form the upstairs bathroom. Days later after they went in to the ceiling and tore a huge hole in it there was another leak, but fortunately the hole as still not repaired so they could re-fix it, then they proceeded to patch the hole, and it's been fine since. Well there have been lots of problems with this unit because I haven't demanded them to come fix some of these issues, they may not understand how problematic they are.
How can I explain any of this to them. and that if they're lying and there is an end unit open I'm just finding a new rental management but that isn't what I want to do.How can I talk to the management for my townhome rentals?

What time do you put your 4 year old to bed? Before the spring time change...Mine has always gone to bed at 7:30 with one or two books read by dad or I. So by 8 ish or later he will fall asleep..

Wow, that is a long nap. The teachers are supposed to be there to teach, not to watch the children take naps! I would suggest that you speak to other parents of the students and see if they have a problem with the 2 hours. I don't think you should have to change your childs sleeping routine, just because the teacher has a problem with it. If they don't want to deal with it, tough! Here pre-schoolers take half hour to hour naps, nothing longer. All you can really do is talk to your son, and ask that he use his quiet voice when the other kids are sleeping. Just remind him everyday before you drop him off, and remind him that if he does good at being quiet there will be a reward when he gets home. The reward can be something like getting an hour of mommy time, or daddy time. and extra dessert, or cookies. when my son was 4 which was last year, i had him in bed at 8 and he didnt nap at all during the day. if i did make him nap he wouldnt go to sleep at night, never ending battle. 9 is a bit late for a 4 year old. see if the teacher can give him quiet time by himself with some stories instead of napping so he dont bother the others. naps are not for all children, some need it, and others are better without 'em.
where we are from in Missouri they have all day kindergarten. so taking naps at this stage i think would not be a good idea. maybe resting but not sleeping.
my kids stopped taking naps at about 3 or 4 years old. and they only had half days then. my grandaughter is 3 and she goes to sleep at arounnd 10pm and comes to me at 5 am everyday. then she sleeps till 9am. she hasn't taken a nap since she was 2. if she takes a nap she doesn't sleep at night. sorry to ramble on.

Wow, that is a long nap. The teachers are supposed to be there to teach, not to watch the children take naps! I would suggest that you speak to other parents of the students and see if they have a problem with the 2 hours. I don't think you should have to change your childs sleeping routine, just because the teacher has a problem with it. If they don't want to deal with it, tough! Here pre-schoolers take half hour to hour naps, nothing longer. All you can really do is talk to your son, and ask that he use his quiet voice when the other kids are sleeping. Just remind him everyday before you drop him off, and remind him that if he does good at being quiet there will be a reward when he gets home. The reward can be something like getting an hour of mommy time, or daddy time. and extra dessert, or cookies. where we are from in Missouri they have all day kindergarten. so taking naps at this stage i think would not be a good idea. maybe resting but not sleeping.

How much weight can I expect to lose in a three months?
I start college in January and I plan on taking advantage of their gym facilities and start getting into running. Since my classes are Monday through Thursday and in the morning to the early afternoon, I want to at least try to get there 2 or three times a week and run (and jog/walk on a treadmill in between my classes as my second class begins about 2 hours after my first ends) for anywhere for 45 and up each day.

ok heres the story im in college and my female friend and i had a week before spring break where we watch a move in my or her room and stayed up late. by the end of that week we would sit all inner twined. this all started when she txted me all worried about her grandma on that sunday so i told her to come to my room and talk. we talked till 4 in the morning. the next night we hung out and so on. the one thing that stays in my mind is how much in common me really are but yet we have different personalities. well about half way through the week romantic feelings for her and she then txt asking me if i did and at first i said no but then she drug it out of me then when i asked her she said idk but when we hung out her eyes told it all. well now spring break is over we are obviously still talking but we dont hang and the one time she asked me to come over to her room i couldnt and when i ask her she basicaly says no and i feel like im runing out of time cuz shes not coming back to my school next year. did the spring break change things? am i just not being patient?What happend? It's not just the rain - it's that it's driven by a change in the prevailing winds. The wind's not supposed to come off the coast during this part of the year. It's supposed to come from the West, with the jet stream.
The way the weather patterns have worked in previous years, the wind comes from the Northeast or Northwest during the Winter and then in Spring it changes over to coming along with the jet stream. I live on a peninsula that sticks out into Boston Harbor - as a result, in the Summer and Fall, it is warm but the fairly constant breeze is gentle and cooled somewhat by having passed over the inner harbor. My 3rd floor walkup apartment gets hot but if I open all the windows, the breeze cools it down quickly - I lay out on the porch for 45 minutes to listen to the last 3-4 innings of the Red Sox and then the apartment is nice and cool when I come back in. There are a few heat waves during which I have to put a fan on to augment the breeze, but that's it - no A/C.
Each year since 2005 it has gotten a bit cooler each year - I've needed fans less and less, and each year I've had to start closing windows a few weeks earlier - last year in early October.
This year I still haven't opened the windows but for 2 in the back room. The wind hasn't shifted direction yet and it's been raining almost constantly - I cannot open the windows facing Northeast.
This is definitely ';climate change'; - but it's not the kind of ';climate change'; that we were warned about when we were getting prolonged heat waves and/or weak winters in the late 1990s. Summers in Boston were supposed to look like DC and then ultimately like the Carolinas or Atlanta. As for Winters, the ski industry was supposedly going to die a not-too-slow death, for want of snow and consistently cold weather in Winter.
What we're getting is cool and rainy Summers and cold and snowy Winters and a ski industry that is adversely affected only by the economy. Definitely a shift in the climate but not at all the shift that we were warned about.
Pretty much everyone I talk to outside this Y/A board agree that there's a lot of guesswork, a lot of hype, a lot of just outright lies and that there is an agenda.
Some of my friends think ';well yes they hype, they lie, but something is up and so what if they lie, shouldn't we do something about it?';
My response is that, if we agree that they don't have any clue what they're talking about, then how do we know that doing the ';something'; that they want us to do is ';doing something about it?'; I also point out that it's the same group of people who a generation ago scared us out of the best non-CO2 alternative, and that the reason they lie and hype is that what most of them really want is just to change people's lifestyles, for its own sake, facts be damned.
The true believers who really believe that CO2 is a problem and causes ';climate change'; haven't exactly distanced themselves from those whose agenda is purely political. They haven't distanced themselves from the hype and the lies.
And some of them try to go back and rewrite the predictions to make it sound like what's happened is actually what was predicted.

Also call Pelosi and Boxer of California and tell them they are wrong.

2000 Cavalier steering wheel help please?
My steering wheels sits funny when driving down the road. For instance if you have a line in the middle of the steering wheel from 3 o'clock to 9 o;clock, when driving down the road the line in the middle would be 1 o'clock to 7:30. It drives fine but it is bugging me. I just change the struts and springs to a set of monroe quick shocks. My steering wheel didn't do this before I changed them. Okay, this is for you expert anglers. I fish small local ponds in the Lewisville, Carrollton, Frisco area. The bass were really biting in March, but with all of the cold fronts that have moved through every few days in April, I've really had inconsistent luck.
I've generally heard that fishing is better right before a front moves in and that seems to have been right. My issue is that after a big rain or when the air temp drops from the 70-80s to 50-60 for a few days. I am not sure what to do.

When bass are inactive, it's important to put bait in the thickest sections of cover and hold it there longer. You have to hold it there, shake it around and try to agitate fish into striking. Don't be afraid to pitch into brush more than once.

That's an ideal cold-front pattern if the lake is clear and offers little shoreline cover. Docks always hold a few bass, but when the sky is bright and fish are less aggressive, docks offer the security fish prefer. These fish are not easy to reach. During a cold front, bass abandon easy targets (corners and ends of the piers) moving farther underneath and tighter to the pier posts. The sections of docks most likely to hold fish are those that are hardest to get a bait under. If a wooden dock is 6 inches off the water and providing a lot of shade, it's holding bass. To reach those fish, use spinning gear to skip a lightweight tube jig beneath the dock, targeting the back corners. The lightweight lure skips easier and offers a tantalizing fall. A small jig-n-pig or soft plastic grub will work, too, but the buoyant tube jig stays in the strike zone longer. You may not catch huge fish, but you can save the day with this pattern when all else fails.
Downsize Your Lures: When fishing gets tough, go for a jig or grub and reduce the lure size to slow it's fall. For example, if you were catching fish on a 1/4 oz. soft plastic grub when fish were biting, you should switch to a 1/8 oz. weight during the front. You should choose natural color patterns in grub, such as smoke or avocado, and want them to look more natural on the fall. Also consider using a scent on your lure. It's also recommended to increase line size to slow the lure's fall. Another rig to try is the split shot rig. A split shot rig with a 4 inch finesse worm on 8 pound test line when conditions get tough in weedy, clear water. Fish the split shot rig on the outer edge of deepwater weeds or over patchy weeds on the flats. Adjust the distance between the sinker and worm, trying to keep the bait above vegetation. Usually, a split shot is placed on the line no more than 8 inches ahead of the worm. Use a No.1 Gamakatsu hook because its small diameter and sharpness make for easy hooksets. It also keeps the bait buoyant.

first off you need to pay attenction to the temp of the water more than the air you could have a few days of 50-60 deg days and the water only changes a couple of degs if the water is colder than it has been slow down your presantion think of it like this how fast do you move when its cold out
than when its warm out if you have water temp up a bit fish are more likley to be active if its colder then there going to hunker down and wate for the food to come to them
look for structor like drops in the level of water also look for grass shoot patellel to it and retrive it slow there in there

How do I change my airbag suspension to coil springs on a 2000 expedition?
Keep getting different responses about my suspension and don't wanna spend more to find the problem than to just switch to coils. I am not mechanically inclined but have a little knowledge and common sense. Is it out of the question to do the labor myself? Would it be worth paying the mechanic $400? That's what I was quoted for labor. Kit costs $550. Any cheaper methods?
