Do you need to take the spring off the door to change the hinge pins and bushings on a 97 GMC truck? How?

If so how does it come off and go back on? I bought a Haynes manual but it doesn't cover the subject.Do you need to take the spring off the door to change the hinge pins and bushings on a 97 GMC truck? How?
Remove the hinge's (door) u must take the load off the spring, your door weight is about 100 to 120 lbs, thats the force on the little spring, be careful if you never done one you could damage the door and you.Do you need to take the spring off the door to change the hinge pins and bushings on a 97 GMC truck? if it is shaped like a s,then i don't think so.just put a jack under the far end of the door and use it to hold the weight of the door then just replace one set at a time.
