Should i change my coil springs?

on my 2000 s10. the truck is lowered and i dont kno by how much. what is the stock length of the springs because they were cut to lower the truck and i want to get new ones to keep it at the hight it is now with springs made specifically to lower a car. since the stock springs were cut to lower my truck,it is bumpy and it literally feels like it drops when it hits a pothole. could it be the shocks or is it the cut springs that give me this rideShould i change my coil springs?
sounds like the truck was lowered the cheap way by just cutting the springs. i used to have an s10 blazer that was this way. what you're feeling is the truck hitting the bump stops, meaning the shock absorbers are traveling to the max when you hit a bump. It's a combo of the cut springs and stock shocks that makes it this way. If you want a true lowered ride you'll need springs and shocks that are suited for lowering it - i.e. they'll be stiffer so they don't travel as far
