Taking Driver's Test, Is the mall busy here in Palm Springs& how do I drive safely in high winds?

I was told the examiner will take you through the mall parking lot. Is it busy at 9:30 in the morning? What do I do if there's a sand storm... like I've seen here on Gene Autry trail? What if a tree is blown over in the road or if there's a tumble weed in the way and I can't change lanes to avoid it?Taking Driver's Test, Is the mall busy here in Palm Springs%26amp; how do I drive safely in high winds?
Very unusual to go through a mall parking lot since it is private property...Most road tests are conducted on 'canned' (pre-planned) routes that have the most diverse traffic conditions...This allows the examiner to see how the applicant (you) handles different situations...Turn the headlight on if in a parking structure and take it real slow...Follow a road test in progress and see where they go.

Hopefully, road tests are suspended during sandstorms...Check with the local DMV office...Dust storms reduce visibility - treat as fog...If a fallen tree is in your path, the examiner should give you directions...Tumbleweeds are a nuisance...Slow down and stay in your lane...Hit them if you have to...If too many, pull over to a sheltered area and wait them out.

All the best.Taking Driver's Test, Is the mall busy here in Palm Springs%26amp; how do I drive safely in high winds?
In high winds slow down
drive slow and pay attention but mostly just relax.
Then you stop and wait until traffic is clear to drive around it. Here's how it works: You're driving along and you see something in the road a couple of hundred feet away. You make a legal lane change as soon as it's safe and go around the obstacle. No need to panic. It happens all the time.
