i can get them off and i want to just switch the stock springs with lowering springs adjustible 0-4'; but im keeping the stock hight on them unless at a car show. anyway my only consern is how hard will it be to compress the shock as needed? also any more detal would help a lot thanks. also i know i will need a alinment. How hard is it to change springs on a acura integra?
quick and easy way to take it off is to use a gear wrench for the nut and a hex key(alloy wrench..whatever you call it) to hold the shocks shaft and rent a set of spring compressors from kragen or autozone......

strap the spring compressors onto the springs and tighten them down...loosen the nut some what so that you wont have to use the hex key on it anymore, but not to the point that the nuts about to come off.....once you get this far...put the shock and spring on the ground and point it at the tire which you took off...make sure its touching the tire...( O------ ) ....now step on to the shock/spring and take off the nut...the tire will take in the shocks pressure and it wont be shooting out at any one....

for any lowering springs...you wont need to compress it to put it on the shocks again....just put it back together and take it for an alignment...or get some camber kits first before taking it to get an alignment....

to adjust height of car...just adjust the spring plate to the desired height...itll take a few tries to get all to be even....and make sure you have a measurement tape on hand to measure the height....How hard is it to change springs on a acura integra?
Removing the springs on the assembly is very dangerous because the springs are under a lot of pressure. I would highly recommend taking the assemblies to a shop and having them properly remove the springs for you. It shouldn't cost that much. As for putting them on, its easy if you have adjustables. I'm assuming you have adjustable coilovers struts with springs? Springs by themselves aren't adjustable only the strut perch where they will be sitting on. Its usually 2 collars on the assembly with 2 keys to untighten or tighten. Just lower the perch until you are able to put the top nut with the spring and top assembly on and tighten down. put on vehicle and raise perch until you reach desired height. you might have to play around with the adjustment until you reach your desired height.
Well, you can do it yourself but i'll have to agree its pretty dangerous when you are in the wrong position and the spring retracts!
Its very easy just make sure you are careful taking them off so the spring and **** dont go flying and kill you lol
