Just take the cap of the top of the forks and pull out the clip with a pair of pliers and watch out because if the wheel isnt picked up off the ground the top might come popping off. Then just reach in and take out the spring and replace it with the stiff one. And add a little bit of fork oil to replace what was pulled out. Or you can replace all the oil for the stiffness you want. But it should be fine. Then just put everything back in reverse order.

Change fork springs on a CRF 250?
Is it hard to change the fork springs to a stiff one on a 08 CRF 230F. I was thinking about the BBR springs. Also how would you do it and what tools would you need? And would I need to replace the oil?Change fork springs on a CRF 250?
